Is The Advice Legal?
Any limitations on what advice can be provided to you by Mentor Group Asia does not reflect upon the legality of the advice, but upon the manner in which the law making authorities within your jurisdiction limit your access to information and knowledge. The information provided by Mentor Group Asia will be lawful, but it may only be lawful if provided to you outside your jurisdictional limits - which only raises the question of why you cannot be told inside your jurisdictional limits!
It is commercially advantageous for most Governments to keep as much money in their territorial limits as possible, especially in the case of high taxing jurisdictions (which is most of the Western countries) so that they can maximise their tax take and keep their books better balanced to show good economic performance. If people move some of their money offshore to take advantage of better investment returns, the Government has to report that in its economic performance indicators and it shows that compared to other jurisdictions, their economic performance is not as good.
As a result of this, you find that in any high tax jurisdiction or any jurisdiction that is producing low onshore investment returns, in order to ensure that money is not moved offshore to a lower tax jurisdiction or to receive higher offshore returns, Government policy and laws will be put in place that restrict the free ability to invest offshore and which restrict information being made readily available to onshore people about offshore investment opportunities. Because of this, in most Western jurisdictions, the free exchange of information about investment opportunities and systems is heavily constrained through laws that impose regulations and penalties.
These laws are usually passed in the guise of consumer protection, but they are simply a mechanism to control and regulate information and knowledge.
